What is Your Role at Onix?
I have the honor of leading the presales Solutions Architecture (SA) and Solutions Engineering (SE) departments at Onix. Our core mission is to achieve the transformational and technical win for our customers by creating a foundation built on the value of the products we sell and the services and expertise we offer.
We achieve this by continually striving to become the technical adviser for our customers, partners and internal teams.
What Makes You Excited to Come to Work Each Day?
I thrive by helping customers, employees and our company achieve their goals. I treat each day as an opportunity to help and at all times push others and myself to be better. Whether it's helping maximize a customer's investment, assisting employees' career growth or seeing how our teams contribute to Onix’s growth. These are all what make me excited to come to work each day.
Tell Us About Your Favorite Project.
One of my favorite projects was a multi-day cloud strategy session with one of our customers. While we have these sessions often, this one was unique in the sense that we truly threw out all of the traditional IT rules and discovered, discussed and created a road-map to move their entire technology stack into the cloud. The best part of this project was seeing them take the steps to become truly cloud first.
What Do You Like to Do Outside of Work?
I enjoy spending time with my family and being active outside when the weather permits. Living in Ohio, we appreciate every nice day.
Share Something You Wish People in the Industry Knew.
The tool sets available in the cloud today just scratch the surface of what is in store for years to come. The world's technology leaders launch tools every day that can give you a competitive edge when they are implemented correctly. Finding the right cloud platform and partner early on will help you quickly adapt to your ever-changing business needs.
Any Advice for Someone Looking to Do What You Do?
Accept that you will always be a student of technology and stay inquisitive at all times. Technology is continually changing and you need to be prepared. Keep learning and keep asking questions.
