Our Collaboration Services Manager, Courtney Cline is a leader in our collaboration practice managing employees and interacting with customers.
What is Your Role at Onix?
Currently, I lead our team of deployment engineers (DEs) who are responsible for technical implementations of Google Workspace and Chrome as well as other SaaS applications such as BetterCloud, AODocs and Slack. Part of this job is taking my experience as a DE for many years and paying it forward to grow their skill sets and delivery methods.
I am also a professional services delivery subject matter expert for our Collaboration & Productivity Department. I help build out our service offerings from a technical standpoint, assist our sales team in pre-delivery work as needed (SOWs, initial customer conversations, etc) and maintain relationships from a technical standpoint with many of our ISV partners and Google partners. If you're not sure "if we can do it"...I probably know the answer!
Customer-facing, I'm a technical escalation point for any issues with the deployments whether it's solutioning for a unique situation a customer may have to troubleshoot or a migration tool.
What Makes You Excited to Come to Work Each Day?
I love to pay it forward. When it comes to my work, this means taking the knowledge and experience I've acquired from my role with leading large implementations at Onix and previous organizations and passing it on to my team and co-workers.
Every day a customer comes to us with a new challenge and I want to make sure that we can assist in finding a solution. I also love to teach my co-workers and customers all about Google and help them think strategically about the "big picture" and what else is available to help streamline their processes with the cloud.
Tell Us About Your Favorite Project.
Before moving into a managerial role, I assisted an IT software company to move to Google. Immediately after the organization went live, they acquired another company that we helped with their migration. Not only did I get to work with the same deployment team, but I also got to travel with them to Paris, France to be on-site for support! I love being able to travel on-site to customers, especially during go lives. It’s culturally enriching personally and professionally.
What Do You Like to Do Outside of Work?
I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and our two Australian Shepherds, two cats and our foster turtle. I also play recreational kickball, volleyball, and recently picked up tennis. We spend a good amount of time at the beach — and at our family beach house.
When I'm not traveling or doing athletics, I also dedicate my time to a wildlife rehabilitation center in NC/SC because I have a passion for animals. It's called Carolina Wildlife Rehabilitation Center that focuses on reptiles and small mammals.

Even if you think the big cloud partners have reached their max, they're constantly evolving. We all need to be flexible and adapt to the ever-changing technology in this world rather than being afraid of it or stuck in our old ways. Change is inevitable and technology is guiding the way, but we can only move forward with strong leadership and the desire to better ourselves.
