Onix Moves Deeper Into Accessibility Marketplace

Onix, creator of the revolutionary, proprietary Equidox PDF conversion software for document accessibility, has further strengthened its position in digital accessibility by bringing onboard accessibility expert Ryan Pugh, formerly of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB).

Onix Grows its Digital Accessibility Expertise

Pugh, a professional member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals, joins the leading cloud solutions provider to serve as Director of Accessibility. The Deque University certified-accessibility specialist and document remediation expert will assist Onix with growing its role as an industry-leading, full-spectrum digital accessibility consultancy.

Prior to joining Onix, Pugh served as an Access Technology Analyst for the National Federation of the Blind in Baltimore, where he was the association’s focal point for accessibility and usability testing. He conducted intensive web accessibility audits for compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA for numerous Fortune 500 companies, including some of the world’s largest online retailers, notable colleges and universities, government agencies at the federal, state and local levels and other non-profit institutions.

He also delivered accessibility training workshops and managed the NFB’s document remediation program, specializing in PDF accessibility.

Pugh also has served with the UK Ministry of Defence in various roles. Besides his studies at Herndon, Virginia-based Deque University, Pugh also attended John Cabot Technology College and St. Ursula’s Comprehensive School in Bristol, England.
