We all know that work is transforming. The unprecedented events of 2020 have only hastened the need for better, more powerful ways to communicate, collaborate and work together as a team from any location in the world.

Work is no longer a physical place for many workers, including those of us here at Onix. It has become digitized through online chat, email and video meetings. Face-to-face interactions have become limited, making human connections more difficult to establish and maintain.

Communicating and connecting is a challenge in these times, but from challenge comes opportunity. People need tools that help them succeed in today’s highly distributed and increasingly digital world, whether they are working in a home office or on the frontlines in a healthcare setting.

This week Google announced a major change in workplace communications and productivity by introducing Google Workspace. It takes the best of its longtime G Suite productivity tools and makes it even better. It’s “everything you need to get anything done,” now in one place.

“As a longtime Google Cloud Premier Partner, Onix understands the importance of organizations in any sector to be able to connect and collaborate from anywhere at any time,” said Onix President and CEO Tim Needles. “We’re excited to share this news that Google is making it even easier for you and your teams to work together in today’s rapidly changing work environment.”

What is Google Workspace?

Google Workspace includes all of the productivity apps you know and love, including Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet and much more.

Google Workspace was designed from the ground up with industry-leading security and privacy controls built-in. Powered by the cleanest cloud in the industry, Google Workspace is...

  • Flexible: Designed for flexible, fluid, and fast collaboration—when, where, and how you need it.
  • Helpful: You can address what’s important and let Google handle the rest with best-in-class AI and search technology that helps you work smarter.
  • Simple: The integrated workspace is simple and easy to use, so you spend less time figuring out how to manage your work and more time actually doing it.
  • Compliant: Certified in the most widely recognized, internationally accepted independent security standards, including HIPAA, GDPR, and FedRAMP.

Why Use Google Workspace?

More than 2.6 billion users choose to use Google apps every month. Google has spent decades building products that are simple, easy to learn and use and anticipate users’ needs. Because these apps are cloud-based, users can innovate with speed, with no need to worry about maintaining legacy desktop apps.

What’s more, the apps in Google Workspace are backed by Google’s global infrastructure so you can expect to receive consistent quality and reliability, whether you’re working from home, on the frontlines with your mobile device or connecting with customers.
