Google Cloud has been building a relationship with Imprivata, a leading healthcare IT security provider. The two organizations are working to enable Chrome devices to work seamlessly with Imprivata OneSign®, a single-sign-on (SSO) platform.
Imprivata OneSign is the standard for healthcare facilities. This secure SSO for healthcare delivers an end-to-end authentication and access management solution that brings together authentication, single sign-on, and virtual desktop roaming, all through browser access with an easy login process.
Until now, Google Chrome Enterprise users in the healthcare space haven’t been able to use their trusted and secure Chrome Browser with the OneSign solution. That has just changed.
Google Cloud has announced that Chrome is now actively supported by this solution after initially announcing plans for OneSign and Chrome compatibility in February 2019.
What’s Important about Chrome Enterprise and OneSign Compatibility?
This latest announcement means Imprivata’s approximately 2,000 healthcare customers can now take advantage of highly secure, simple to manage, cloud-native devices powered by ChromeOS for their frontline healthcare workers' cloud connected devices.
Together, Chrome and Imprivata OneSign will deliver secure SSO for Chrome devices in the healthcare sector. With this single sign-on and virtual desktop access platform, healthcare workers will get No Click Access to Chrome cloud-connected devices for a secure, mobile workstation solution with a swipe of their badge. Imprivata OneSign can be used with Citrix and VMware, giving healthcare workers fast, seamless access to clinical systems.
Frontline healthcare workers will also get faster boot times and more secure endpoints powered by ChromeOS and secured by Imprivata. Onix is here to help make that happen.
We’re proud to announce that we have in-house technical engineers trained on the OneSign solution and how it works with ChromeOS. They are ready to work with healthcare clients who want to test using Chrome devices with Imprivata OneSign immediately.
