The OS9600 is ideal for the aggregation tier of a 3 tier enterprise network and the wiring closet where support for converged applications and PoE is a requirement. The OmniSwitch 9600 is a five-slot chassis supporting one CMM and four network interface (NI) modules. The OS9600 uses the OmniSwitch 9700 CMM and shares a common set of network interface modules with the rest of the OmniSwitch 9000 family. The wide range of interchangeable GigE and 10GigE interfaces offered by the entire OS9000 family delivers a future proof and flexible combination of Ethernet in a wiring closet switch.
